Hellraiser: Revival Skull Puzzle: Nail Order for the Tongue Key

Bruno’s office skull: why guides give two orders

The skull has four nails, and two launch guides describe the same press order from different sides:

  • Skull turned away from you: left, back, right, top (PowerPyx).
  • Skull facing you as you pick it up: right, back, left temple, top (GameSpew).

Both are the same four nails; only “left” and “right” swap when the skull faces you. Pick one orientation and stick to it. The mouth opens and gives you the Tongue Key for the fleshy door. A video reference shows the close-up.

Find the right skull

Turn the skull away from you, then press the nails left, back, right and top. This is the office skull during “Escape the Cult”, not a four-digit cabinet lock.

  1. Match the office scene: a skull on the desk, with paintings and artist’s materials nearby.
  2. Interact with the skull and use its facing direction to orient the sequence. Do not use screen-left before turning it around.
  3. Enter the sequence and collect the Tongue Key when the mechanism opens.

The linked 28-second clip shows the skull and its nails on the office desk. For the rest of the opening route, return to opening obstacles.

Before the skull: the Blemished door

Two bodies on this floor hold the pieces. Take the Blemished Fragment from the body in the red-lit room and the Blemished Diamond from the body upstairs, then place both in the indent above the plaque by the locked door.
