What does concurrent player count measure?

Steamworks defines the endpoint as players currently active in the specified Steam app. Players not connected to Steam are excluded. PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo players are outside this app-level Steam count.

The full game and demo have separate store listings and app identifiers. This snapshot is for the full game; it must not be labelled as demo usage. See demo access for the separate trial.

Is this a Steam chart, peak or sales estimate?

A single observation does not produce a historical chart. A daily peak or all-time peak requires observations covering the relevant period, and that series is not available on this page. No peak value is supplied here.

Concurrent players are not purchases, unique owners, wishlists or total people who have played. This is a single-player game, so the count also does not measure matchmaking activity. Third-party charts can use different collection intervals; compare the app and timestamp before comparing numbers.

How to check the source and choose your next guide

Open the Steam API response and look for response.player_count and a successful result. Record the time of your own request when comparing it with this snapshot. An unavailable response is missing data, not evidence of zero players.

For whether the game suits you, read the review comparison; for expected campaign length, use how long to beat. These answer different questions from concurrent activity. Release and platform information explains which version you are buying.
