Hellraiser: Revival demo troubleshooting — stuck, input freeze & clues

Identify whether a demo problem concerns movement, controls, Leviathan shadows, missing objectives or journal entries, then find the relevant official patch note.

· Official demo patch + editorial triage steps

Match the symptom before changing anything

  • Cannot move or interact: compare the movement and input entries in Known issues.
  • Leviathan clue looks wrong: the patch changes shadow rendering; see the Leviathan note.
  • Objective or tutorial vanished: the patch addresses HUD elements disappearing after settings changes.
  • Journal does not reflect a collected entry: the patch addresses updates after reading or listening.

The announcement also corrects tutorial hints. None of those notes supplies an exact puzzle solution.

A cautious troubleshooting order

  1. Confirm whether you are running the demo or full game and record the build if it is shown.
  2. Let Steam complete available updates before reproducing the problem.
  3. Record your last objective, room, input sequence and any settings changed just before the fault.
  4. If the game allows it, return to the menu and load an existing save. Consider how much progress you may lose first.
  5. If it repeats, send the reproduction steps and a screenshot to publisher support.

These are general triage steps, not fixes we have reproduced in-game. Do not delete saves just because a search result promises a universal fix.

What if I am simply stuck on a puzzle?

A working interaction with an unclear clue needs a different answer from frozen controls. Keep track of the room, the clue text and what changes after each interaction. Use the puzzle checklist to rule out documented demo display issues. Exact solutions will need verified gameplay evidence before they can be added here.
